We will play live a bit less frequently for some time, because we plan to gather some material for a new CD. The questions are starting to get on our nerves.
For the 5th time we will celebrate Jimi’s Birthday with a special concert, playing only Jimi’s music.
This time we also invited some friends (and Jimi fans) to perform with us:
Yıldırım Fakılar will bring his Strat, his incredible power and his dedication to Jimi’s Music to join us for a couple of Jimi’s songs.

When Martina Aminata Astronata Seydi Brenessel heard about the Happy Birthday Jimi Party, she shouted out: “Cool, I want to sing ‘Who Knows’”. Let’s do this! It will be a great pleasure for us to play some Jimi classics with her passionate soulfull voice.

As usual, Edi will exhibit his collection of Jimi Hendrix posters, there will be only Jimi Hendrix music in the jukebox, after the concert we will show some Hendrix DVDs and maybe somewhere there will glow some incense sticks too.
Unfortunatelly we have to cancel the ‘Happy Birthday Jimi’ Gig on Fr 27 Nov 2009 at the Bach.
New date for the gig is 16 Jan 2010.

Selbstgemachtes
Hinter den Kulissen gehts ab wie bei Schleswigs unterm Sofa! Wir stricken fleißig an eigenen Liedern und -innen, darunter schwerst Hitverdächtiges wie z.B. der Magic Kendler Mountain Blues (dessen Text völlig an den Haaren herbeigezogen zu sein scheint).
Bierwaage Jubiläums-CD
Auf der 20 Jahre Bierwaage Straßenfest 3-fach live CD sind auch wir mit Fenzl Experience, Dirty Alex Connection und mehreren Gästen und -innen vertreteten. Erscheinen wird sie im Sommer, aber wir haben unsere Beziehungen spielen lassen und schon mal reingehört, ätsch. Nur soviel: s’deppat, s’ure leiwaund!
Peter Dürr 4 President
Nachdem der Jan letzten Sommer bei einem Hallucination Company Revival Schmonzes den Peter Dürr kennengelernt hat, hat er sich sofort in sie verliebt (seine Stimme natürlich) und ihn eingeladen mit uns ein paar Lieder zu singen. Bei der letzten Probe wars endlich soweit, da hat er uns aus den Cowboystiefeln gesungen und unsere Bluesrock Herzerln zum glühen, klopfen und leuchten gebracht. Da scheiss ich doch auf Weihnachten. Wir freuen uns auf hoffentlich häufige Gastauftritte – demnächst beim Fenzl Frequenzl und beim Blues Spring – hallelujah!
After a marathon booze through half Vienna – starting with a birthday gig at the Bach, then continuing with the Bierwaage and other pubs and parties – and after a well deserved nap on the Bierwaage Rockstarcouch, we decided to spend another day at Bierwaage and create a myspace page. If you have a myspace profile too, feel free to add us and comment!
In the meantime we somewhat recovered from the stress and are buisy rehearsing. During the last days we wrote some new songs, that we really like. Which means something, because the stuff we usually play is crap anyway :) If we work hard, we’ll be able to want to play the new stuff at our next gig at the Reigen. Or at that one.
Der Anzug kam nicht aus der Reinigung und dann war da dieses Erdbeben…
Durch unsere letzten Gigs sind wir wieder draufgekommen, wie geil es ist im Trio zu spielen. Nachdem der Jan unsere Toleranzgrenze und Nervenressourcen punkto Verläßlichkeit und (Selbst-)Disziplin im Lauf der letzten Jahre bereits völlig überstrapaziert hat, und der Chrizzle trotz wiederholter Aufforderung seinen Spinat nicht gegessen hat, übersiedeln wir ihn (den Chrizzle) mit einem lachenden und einem weinenden Auge vom fixen Bandmitglied zum gern gesehenen Special Guest bei Livekonzerten. Es war eine schöne Zeit mit einem der originellsten Charaktere im Wiener Bluesrockhimmel und wir danken dem Kosmos für sein Verständnis.
